Break the envelope around your heart and reach yourself!
The largest statue of Buddha made of pure gold and around the 11th century was found in 1954 in a monastery in Bangkok. Coincidentally! A piece fell from the old statue that was almost 4 meters high and a curious monk wanting to see the inside, and find out what the statue was made of, discovered... pure gold! Imagine, this golden statue has survived thousands of years, many wars and destruction, just because of one simple thing. She was covered in mud and clay.
Well, in the same way that the Buddha statue was covered with a coating of clay and mud, so we cover our inner goodness and purity in order to survive hard times, hard societies, hard parenting, or hard traumas and stresses from our life.
But hiding our golden nature, under the mantle of mud and clay, we definitely suffer. Normally, everyone reacts in their own way, but definitely the easiest way to live is to put on a mask and live your life. And so unfortunately, wanting to avoid suffering, we begin to identify with the shell or the mask and forget who we are, what we are, and what our true nature is.
That's why the exercises and meditations we did during the Weekend Intensive held on May 21 and 22, 2022 were aimed at reminding us of the gold we have inside us, increasing our awareness of who we are and what we are, and helping us to let go of the past (the coverings or the mask) to connect with the gold or our authentic nature.
The whole weekend was aimed at recognizing our habits and thoughts, i.e. the covers with which we have unconsciously hidden the gold within us.
Rumi says "Your goal is not to seek love, but to seek and find the limitations within yourself that you have built against it."
In short, that's what we explored during this two-day intensive seminar that took place in a wonderful atmosphere.
Thanks to all participants, for their openness and willingness to work on themselves and become a better version of themselves, within themselves.
