In conditions when our pace of life becomes more and more hectic, and the time for ourselves becomes less and less, it is necessary to recognize when we need to stop and rest. I believe that each one of us feels the need to recharge our batteries, learn to live in the moment, or simply go somewhere and release all the stress we have accumulated inside us.
The basis of the whole search is to find the inner balance. And Yoga does exactly that, it brings the mind and body together in permanent balance.
This is exactly why I believe that practicing yoga in the mountains contributes to restoring the balance of the physical, mental and emotional body.
From a physical point of view, when we practice yoga at a higher altitude, (for example Ponikva is at 1,560 altitude), the body and brain are provided with much more oxygen, then the cardio-vascular system is stimulated (because we were walking, looking for the hidden signs and messages through a fun game) and we filled our "batteries" with living clean energy or prana that was in the air.
In the program we practiced asanas (yoga exercises), breathing techniques and meditation, so the whole physical body, especially the joints and the spine, became more flexible, the muscles got stronger and of course we spent some more calories, with all that running through the mountain in the game "Quest". following the road signs".
Plato said: "We must not seek to heal the body without seeking to heal the soul."
Well, the combination of different exercises, yogic and interactive, which we did together with the whole team from BK Balkanec from Shtip, had an effect on raising energy, hormones and joy.
If only you knew how we laughed at all the evening workshops!
A Tibetan proverb says, "When you reach the top of a mountain, keep climbing" and I'm sure all healthy lifestyle and nature lovers agree with that.
