Buddha on the night of his enlightenment met the god Mara, which metaphorically means he met his shadow (weakness or fear). Despite all Mara's attempts to defeat the Buddha, he defeated him, and in the morning he became enlightened or "awakened" as his followers say.
What is important for all of us in this story is to know that Mara continued to appear in the Buddha's life regardless of his being Awakened.
Well, one evening while the Buddha was speaking in front of many followers, Mara suddenly appeared, and the Buddha's disciples began to panic and talk to each other "Mara is here", "Wow, what are we going to do now" ..
Buddha looked at Mara and said "Mara I see you." Come, sit next to me, we will drink tea".
I see you…
Tell your shadow the same as Buddha: Come Mara, sit down to talk and drink tea.
See your shadow, your fear, jealousy, envy, anger...whatever it is.
The moment you look at your shadow, you create a pause where you can begin to explore yourself, to face your weaknesses.
Because you also have your Shadow within you.
A very instructive story indeed for us mere mortals!
Take a break the moment you feel angry, jealous, mean...
If a Buddha can do it, why not you?
Love and light
